Team MembersChris Lankford Associate Chris Lankford brings military service, federal procurement knowledge,
and private industry experience to the team. A graduate of the United States Naval Academy and veteran of the Iraq War, Chris proudly served as an officer in the Navy Civil Engineer Corps. While in Iraq, he spearheaded coalition reconstruction efforts for over $100M of US funded projects while providing on-site leadership and engineering expertise during critical meetings between Iraqi engineers and ministry officials to restore life support services for over 30,000 Iraqis. Shortly after his return from Iraq, Chris led a 50-man disaster response team to the Mississippi Gulf Coast following Hurricane Katrina. He coordinated critical infrastructure restoration efforts with local officials in Pascagoula and designed and constructed a 75-family tent camp for displaced citizens in Pass Christian, efforts that were featured on Fox News, Good Morning America, and local newspapers. Currently, Chris works as the Operations Support Manager for the Portable Power business unit of National Oilwell Varco (NYSE: NOV), a leading provider of premier equipment and worldwide services to the oil and gas industry. New to the portable power business, Chris is helping NOV develop the business and expand into new markets across the United States and Internationally. Additionally, Chris is enrolled as an executive MBA student at the University of Texas’ McCombs School of Business and scheduled to graduate in July 2009. He is also a Registered Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in Maryland and has U.S. Department of Defense Final Secret Clearance. |
